Eater Vegas (updated May 5, 2026) still files El Gordo as the local stand-by. The company lists three open Las Vegas shops plus Charleston as closed.

The East Charleston shop is listed CLOSED on the company locations page. The Review-Journal reported a temporary renovation closure in August 2025 with no reopening date named then.
